Heather Lewis is a stay at home mom and fashion influencer.
The story of how Heather and I met is mind blowing when you think of her story then vs. her story now. YEARS ago, I don’t even remember how many, possibly five or six, Heather use to work at the Sally’s Beauty supply in the city where my salon is located. Of course I would see her there and she also would come to our salon to get her eyebrows done so we got acquainted there as well. One day Heather decided she was going to go blonde and wanted me to do it for her! Ok, that’s it that’s how we met lol!

No seriously, since then quite a few things have changed. Her and her husband now have three GORGEOUS boys, have moved out of the Bay Area, and she is a mommy and fashion influencer with over thirty thousand instagram followers!! Her success definitely didn’t happen overnight! I’ve seen her journey and it’s amazing to me that even with three boys under the age of ten she still manages to stay consistent with her business and manage a healthy home life.
Heather with her three boys I told you they were gorgeous
I wanted to ask Heather a series of questions to see what her take on them were! I am always genuinely inspired by knowing that women just like me are constantly working on staying positive and bettering themselves!
~What inspires you?
“Of course my kids! I want to provide them with an environment of love. I constantly draw inspiration from other instagram mom’s as well as Pinterest. I’m artistic at heart, I love fashion, photography, food, wine and home decor.”
~What advice would you give women right now to help them feel their best?
“Definitely to get ready everyday! Shower, put a full face of makeup on, do your hair, put a comfy-cute outfit on, and cover yourself in your fave perfume. I would say workout everyday too, but lets face it, I’m lazy! lol”
~What are your favorite products or brands that keep you feeling beautiful?
“I really like to keep it simple. I use to buy all the hair and makeup products, but its unnecessary to me now. I love Ardell lashes (Demi whispies), Fenty glow lip gloss, and Estee Lauder double west foundation. Shea moisture Strengthen and Restore mask and recently discovered Mellie Coli sculpting custard! Its been a life saving, game changer in my hair routine!”
~What made you decide to become an entrepreneur?
“I was a mommy blogger for a couple of years when my husband had knee surgery and I had to go back to work. I wasn’t home with the kids to take pictures of them anymore and I started taking more pride in my appearance and just in myself. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and try some new things! I loved doing my makeup and getting dressed up for work, and I loved that there was a platform to display that as art!”
~How would you say the world of health and beauty compliment each other?
“I feel that if you look good, you feel good! If you’re in a healthy space mentally, everything naturally flows. If you take pride in your appearance, workout in whatever way you can then your confidence will shine through!”
~What are 3 tips you would give to anyone who is feeling down or low about their self esteem and well being?
1.Do ONE good/positive thing everyday. No matter how little start small and start today. Don’t overwhelm yourself, keep it simple.
2.Shower and get dressed everyday
3. Look at what you have instead of what you don’t have, and then be grateful for it.
Just like Heather said, it’s not about what you don’t have it’s about your current situation and making the best of it! She chose to use the opportunities and outlets presented to her to create the best life for her family! Hard work and persistence really pays off!
A HUGE thank you to Heather for being a part of Health is Beauty!
