Robreauna Ruiz (Robree) is the owner of two amazing companies, a thriving coast-to-coast lash company, Fash N’ Lash as well as a curly hair extension line, Curl Candi.

I met Robreauna through one of my guests who happen to be one of her good friends, Devyn! A few years ago Devyn referred Robree to me for hair color and she was so sweet and genuine! I remember she wanted to go to the lighter side and had a “not so good” experience that we had to remedy! Back then she was working for a corporation and when she would come in she would tell me that that wasn’t her dream job and she wanted to own her own company. Well, two companies later I would definitely say she meant that!

Through following her on social media I watched her complete esthetician school, perfect her lash craft and start her own company Fash N’ Lash. Which I have to say, I don’t wear lashes but seeing her work made me want to! She can do a full set in forty-five minutes and they look AMAZING! I know that where her lash company is now did not come overnight or easily and it took a lot of patience, time, commitment and finances! Not only does she run one successful business but is opening a second, Curl Candi!

Her story of why she named her second company after her mom really resonates with me, as I can relate. Nothing will make up for the loss but I know her mom is SO proud of her. I can’t wait for the full launch of Curl Candi and all of the successful events that are to follow!
Seeing Robree’s drive to succeed has always inspired me and I wanted to share her story because I know it will inspire others! I’ve recently asked her a few questions regarding how she stays so inspired and what she could say to others for encouragement, here’s what she said!
~What inspires you?
“My upbringing was very different than most, I really didn’t have it all growing up. Seeing my Dad raise me alone really inspired me to be a millionaire one day to take care of my family.
I’m inspired by young entrepreneurs like myself, I feed off of women who really hustle to make something out of nothing. I feel like I have a voice and I want girls to be inspired by me and my journey as well!”
~What advice would you give women right now to help them feel their best?
“Put yourself above all! Boys can wait, I feel a lot of women thrive off male attention and it causes us to get distracted. I want to see more independent boss women, hustling and living their best life! Confidence and self love is always key.”
~ What are your favorite products or brands that keep you feeling beautiful and inspired?
“I absolutely love Miss Jessie’s curly hair product line, I’m inspired by them to start my own product line! Also, I love Fenty Beauty, I love what Rihanna did with her makeup line and how she marketed her brand. It gave me confidence to start my own as well!”
~What made you decide to become an entrepreneur?
“I wasn’t happy, and I’m not the best at being told what to do… having someone control my paychecks really used to bother me lol. So I took a leap of faith in finding my passion, and chose to become self employed, it was the best decision I’ve ever made! NO REGRETS.”
~How would you say the world of health and beauty compliment each other?
“Beauty is health, I think having a healthy state of mind and an overall healthy outlook on life and yourself is what makes you a beautiful person. A lot of people don’t have a healthy outlook on life which makes them look, think and act very ugly.”
~ What are 3 tips you would give to anyone who is feeling down or low about their self esteem and wellbeing ?
1.) Never let anyone have the power to control how you view yourself, or allow anyone to lower your self esteem. We often allow people to dictate how we view ourselves and overly value people’s opinions about us without realizing it.
2.) Keep yourself distracted to not dwell on the mishaps or negative things going on. Always do what makes you happy whether it be to hang out with friends, family, do your makeup, always do things that keep you happy.
3.) Pray a lot and practice meditation, take long walks to clear your mind. Keep a very healthy mind, and cut off all negative thoughts that come to play.
To have one goal and achieve it just gives you the fire to achieve all the rest! I seriously am so inspired by journeys like Robreauna’s, people who have real goals and never settle for less!
A MASSIVE Thank you to Robree for being a part of Health-is-Beauty!!
